Kayak Bow Line - Can be used for towing, as a leash to your kayak, to pull your kayak out of the water, and many other things.

Mirror and whistle - Light weight, small, easy to carry, and easy to use.

Streamer. Look at the pictures! Speaks for itself...so valuable in an emergency.

This isn't exactly the strobe light we have, but we use ours if we're paddling in low light situations so boats can see us.

Flares and smoke flares. At first we thought they were expensive, then our friend said, "How much is your life worth?" We bought some right after that.

PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) will continuously send out an emergency signal w/your exact GPS location until you're found.

Garmin 440s Chartplotter/Fishfinder combo. Not a "must have," but it's nice to have.

EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) A little big and bulky for a kayak, but still very valuable. Similar to the PLB, but with greater range.
